Weekend, Blandford Forum
The town sits in the beautiful Dorset countryside. Blandford Forum was built on the River Stour and unfortunately had to be rebuilt in 1731 after a great fire destroyed the majority of the town centre. The Bastard bothers were brought in to rebuild it which then took a further thirty years. Because of this Blandford Forum has become one of the very best preserved Georigian towns in the entire country. The market place still stands in the town centre, just as it has for over two hundred years.
